The show which looks at the artists work over the last 10 years includes several architectural pieces taken from buildings – including a series of four doors and a large wall work from the Liverpool Biennale in 2004.He has exhibited across the globe and his collectors include Brad Pitt and Angelia Jolie
Banksy has delighted the public with his humourous political and social commentary, and has breathed new life into the world of street art, blurring the boundaries between high art and entertainment. He has exhibited across the globe and his collectors include Brad Pitt and Angelia Jolie. He currently has an exhibition open at Bristol Museum.
The Covent Garden show will also include his signature characters; the rats in their many guises as the Paparazzi, soldiers, rappers, lock-breakers and painters – swinging form door handles, sitting by their ghetto blasters and poised to carry out some graffiti themselves.
The exhibition is being held in The Flower Cellars , 4-6 Russell Street, London, WC2E 7BN – a huge, elegant but raw warehouse space complimenting Banksy's powerful, sophisticated images.
The exhibition is free to the general public.
