Nigel Harman is set to get back on the West End stage in new play Public Property, written by The Drama Student Magazine columnist Sam Peter Jackson.

Best known for his role as the charismatic Dennis Rickman in BBC1's Eastenders, Harman (pictured right) has been a favourite on the stage since leaving. He starred as Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls at the Piccadilly Theatre, with roles in The Exonerated at Riverside Studios and The Caretaker at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.

Harman is set to play Larry, a high flying London publicist who finds his client, Geoffrey Hammond, a popular news anchorman, at the centre of the headlines. The sex scandal of the Century has broken and it's up to Larry to spin Geoffrey (played by Robert Daws) out of what seems to be an impossible situation. As the media wait, hungry for a statement, the two struggle with conscience and imagination and the question looms – is all publicity good publicity?

The play will run at the Trafalgar Studios with Steven Webb playing the boy at the centre of the scandal.

Public Property is Sam Peter Jackson's second full length play, following the success of his writing debut in 2005. Minor Irritations played Edinburgh and subsequently transferred to The White Bear Theatre in London and was selected for the Dublin Gay International Theatre Festival.
