USA Full Monty cast in the original production – Photo: Dan RestThe Full Monty debuted in the West End in 2002. It will run again for a month at the New Players Theatre from the 3rd December 2009 until 2nd January 2010, What's on Stage is reporting.
The 1997 film The Full Monty was about Sheffield steelworkers who found themselves out of work. The musical version sees the show set in Buffalo, USA. It originally opened in San Diego, before opening on Broadway, running for 770 performances.
It failed to repeat its success in London however, closing after just eight months.
