Open dance auditions for Thriller – Live world tour

Producers of the smash-hit musical Thriller – Live is on the search for the next Michael Jackson and it could be you moonwalking into the role of a lifetime.

Open auditions are set for this Friday for dancers for the massive World Tour of the hit musical Thriller – Live.

The producers are to hold open auditions for professionally trained dancers who are versatile, with strong technical dance ability, individual style and stand-out personality. You must be funky with strong hip hop skills and breakdance, acro and/or popping/locking are an advantage. The playing age is around 18-25.

Thriller – Live's award-winning director and choreographer, Gary Lloyd said: “Thriller – Live in the West End currently has the best of UK dance talent. I am now looking for undiscovered talent that can go global with this show. Only the best will cut it to be in the hottest dance show on the planet.”

If you think you've got the right moves to thrill in Thriller, you should moonwalk your way to the Urdang Academy, The Old Finsbury Town Hall, Rosebery Avenue, London, EC1R 4RP on Friday 24th July at 9am.

Meanwhile, Thriller – Live also announced today that it will embark on a 10-date UK arena tour, starting at Nottingham Trent FM Arena on Tuesday 24 November. Other dates are set for Manchester, Belfast, Dublin, Cardiff, Sheffield, Birmingham, Liverpool, Glasgow and Aberdeen. Tickets go on sale at 10am Wednesday 22nd July.

Whilst I am still coming to terms with Michael’s sad and tragic passing, I am glad that Thriller – Live can continue as a fitting tribute to his memory and legacy as the King of Pop

Thriller – Live was originally conceived and created by the Executive Director of the show, Adrian Grant, a long time associate of Michael Jackson, and author of “Michael Jackson – The Visual Documentary”. He said: “Thriller – Live started off in 2006 as a celebration of Michael Jackson’s great music and artistry. Whilst I am still coming to terms with Michael’s sad and tragic passing, I am glad that Thriller – Live can continue as a fitting tribute to his memory and legacy as the King of Pop.”
