Review: Love's Labour's Lost, Rose, Kingston-upon-Thames

Peter Hall's production is like Shakespeare's play: wise and funny, a many-faceted diamond, glittering whichever way you turn it. Hall presents a play of contrasts: cultivated people versus simple countrymen, study versus life, style versus substance, language versus meaning. The taffeta phrases of courting are one thing; the torrent of love is another.
