Get yourself down to the south bank this week for the seventh annual summer season of free theatre at The Scoop at More London Amphitheatre on the South Bank.

The season will include a specially commissioned version of Medea, the celebrated Greek revenge drama, and a new family musical The Adventures of Jason and the Argonauts.

Both shows are performed by the same actors and on weekends you can see both on the same night. The Scoop at More London, winner of the 2006 Peter Brook Award for ‘up and coming theatre' and for the innovation of a season of free and accessible theatre, has now firmly established itself as one of London's unique theatregoing experiences.

The Adventures of Jason and the Argonauts is written and directed by Phil Willmott. This ancient legend and the quest for the Golden Fleece has enchanted people of all ages inspiring 1950s Hollywood, modern game designers and storytelling down the centuries. This brand new version especially conceived for The Scoop at More London includes all the knockabout comedy, toe-tapping songs, ingenious puppetry and summer fun that makes the Steam Industry's free family shows an unmissable treat. From Friday 7th May until Sunday 6 Spetember.

Medea by Euripides will be presented in a new translation by Stella Duffy and directed by Phil Willmott. As the sun sets, enjoy the intrigue, scandal and heart-stopping suspense of a celebrity marriage in crisis, as royal love is tested to its limits. When King Jason is lured away by a new princess, Medea plots the famous and terrible revenge that has shocked audiences for thousands of years. Is she right to act as she does? Runs from Thursday 30 July – Sunday 6 September
