The Festival, now in its 63rd year, is set to have its biggest programme to date, despite its financial trouble last year and the ongoing recession. The Festival has attracted over two thousand shows in 265 venues and over 34,000 performers.

The Drama Student will be there in the thick of the action, visiting shows particularly involving young performers. A series of articles, interviews, podcasts and video reports will be presented on The Drama Student Online over four days between 13th and 16th August.

In the summer issue of the printed publication, TDS Magazine will feature students, graduates and professional actors taking part in plays and musicals.

The Edinburgh Festival attracts millions of visitors and generates tens of millions of pounds for the Scottish economy.  Denise Van Outen, Ricky Gervais, Jimmy Carr, Alistair McGowan and Clive James are among the high profile stars to perform this year.
