Olivier Awards to be broadcast on television and radio
This year’s Olivier Awards 2013 with MasterCard will be receiving the coverage it deserves with broadcasts on ITV and BBC Radio 2.

Sheridan Smith will host the Olivier AwardsThe UK’s highest stage honours, The Olivier Awards, will receive an airing on ITV shortly after the ceremony in a highlights programme on Sunday 28th April. The official radio partner, BBC Radio 2, will broadcast live as in previous years. Presenter Ken Bruce will take to the air from 6pm.
Double award winner Sheridan Smith has been booked to host the event with Julia McKenzie, another double Olivier Award winner, providing the Awards voiceover. Details of the shows and guests to feature on the night are yet to be confirmed.
This year’s Olivier Awards will take place at the acclaimed Royal Opera House.
A special Olivier Awards celebration will take place in the nearby Covent Garden plaza for members of the general public, with a relay of the ceremony on large screens, as well as live performances on the BBC Radio 2 stage from top West End shows, celebrity hosts and special guests.
The nominations event will be broadcast on Radio 2 on Tuesday 26th March at 11.30pm live from the Mayfair Theatre at London’s Mayfair Hotel. The cast of the RSC’s Matilda are set to perform.
