As Fourthwall announced last week, Jordan Lee Davies, Jeremy Legat, Sabrina Aloueche and Ambra Caserotti will lead the cast. Joining them will be Gary Wood (Paul in A Chorus Line, Angel in RENT), Matthew Rowland (Boy George in Taboo, Frank in The Confession Room), Tori Allen-Martin (writer and lead vocalist for Streets Project, Mimi in Rent), Dale Evans (Matt in Bare, Onstage Swing in From Here to Eternity).
Also confirmed to perform are Joseph Giacone, Emma Housley, Jodie Beth Meyer, Lauren Osborn, Michael Quinn, Ben Sell, Jodie Steele, Thomas Sutcliffe.
The gala will be compered by the fabulous Dean McCullough. A fusion of cabaret and concert, musical theatre and acoustic arrangements, the night will showcase a fabulous cast singing stripped back, acoustic versions of musical theatre songs – almost a ‘live lounge’ for musical theatre. The event is taking place at 8pm at the Battersea Barge on Wednesday 4th September.
The first West End Switched Off album, currently under production, will feature Ian Stroughair (Angel in the 20th anniversary tour of RENT), Adrian Hansel (Seaweed in Hairspray), Chloe Hart (currently appearing in Wicked, Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray), Simon Bailey (Jeff in [title of show], Enjolras in Les Misérables, Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera) and many more.
The launch will give you an exclusive glimpse of what is to come with West End Switched Off, with performers singing songs from the upcoming album accompanied by a live four-piece band. It will be an intimate and thrilling chance to experience some of your favourite musical theatre stars perform songs you know – and a few you might not – in a way you’ve never heard before.
Tickets are £14, and available from westendswitchedoff.eventbrite.co.uk. For more information please visit www.westendswitchedoff.co.uk
