Hip-Hop dance show kicks off again on Southbank

Into the Hoods will play at the Royal Festival Hall this summer in a new redesigned show.

The hip-hop take on Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods, which has previously sold out at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, will run from 30th July until 15th August 2010.

Groovy tunes and wicked dance moves

The story follows two runaway kids on their adventures in the ominous Ruff Endz estate, and features “groovy tunes and wicked dance moves”.

The show was originally a runaway success on the Edinburgh Fringe in 2006 and then again the following year. Its West End transfer came in 2008, where it extended twice at the Novello Theatre.

The production won Best Ensemble Performance at the 2009 Whatsonstage.com Awards, and saw Britain's Got Talent winner George Sampson showcase his talents.
